CBSE should not be a bootlicking agency to Hindutva Government; Campus Front of India
CBSE has scrapped four chapters from Political Science curriculum of Class 11, including citizenship and secularism… Statement; Muhammad Shakeer, Vice President, Campus Front of India
The deletion of chapters on secularism, citizenship, federalism and nationalism from the curriculum of classes 9, 11 and 12 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is an authoritarian assault on independent bodies. HRD minister justified the move on the grounds of rationalising and reducing the load of syllabus. We doubt that the axing of chapters is a prelude to the long road of genocide by instilling religious and caste divisions among bidding minds which mounts violence and discrimination against oppressed. It also reveals the hypocrisy of BJP government to nationalism. We demand that CBSE should not be a bootlicking agency to hindutva government.
